Who am I?

The name’s Justin.  I might be just like you.  Let’s find out, shall we?

Sometime In Early 2003:

I get a phone call from a good friend of mine who makes a living doing something called “Niche Marketing” on the internet.  Says he’s got some sort of wierd thing called an “Info-Product”.  I tell him he’s nuts, it’s just bad spelling for a word that doesn’t exist.  He tells me I’m nuts if I don’t take a serious look at it.

Long story short, I dabbled a bit here and there with a bodybuilding website and an affiliate site selling knockoff designer sunglasses online.  But I didn’t know what the hell I was doing…

Fast-Forward a few years…

  • The bodybuilding site is done - along with the chisled abs I used to have.
    (No, it wasn’t steroids, for those of you thinking that.)
  • Sunglasses site goes bunk because I didn’t figure out that I needed to know what the hell it was l was doing.
  • I ended a serious 3 year relationship, totally pissed her off and left me wondering where my life was headed.
  • I enrolled in post-secondary (Business) with plans to dominate the world as an entrepreneur.  Ended up acing the semester while only showing up to a cumulative 5 weeks of classes - Summarily dropped out to get a refund for the rest of my tuition.  Got a job as a surveyor at an engineering firm.

In the meantime, I’ve realized I’ve got a big interest in real estate and figured I’d try my luck at giving Donald Trump a run for his money.

I swear, I had more deals fall apart than Hollywood sees divorces!  And it wasn’t because of a lack of effort.

If I didn’t believe in “fate”, I did now.  Ended up becoming a licensed Real Estate Agent.

That’s when the crap hit the fan…

Once I was in, I realized how lame and out-dated the majority of marketing information was for real estate agents.

How ineffective a lot of the industry BS is at actually getting a home sold for a client.  Or finding a solid buyer with good financing.

Not only that, but the more I read, the more I studied, the more I DEVOURED direct response marketing materials, the more I saw that so many other small business owners were CLUELESS as to how to cost-effectively generate leads, create sales, and maintain a profitable customer base!

And once again, I found myself back at the computer wondering if the internet was the key to my problems, namely:

  1. Finding an efficient, cost-effective way to generate quality leads in any business
  2. Starting up additional streams of income to one day replace the bitch-work of making good money in real estate and having no time to enjoy it.
